ANYWAY. Mama wanted to watch a movie in 3D so Kung Fun Panda 2 was a great choice. Though I barely remember what happened in the first one I’m sure I didn’t miss a lot story-wise. In my opinion, the second one pulls a Harry Potter-ish plot: evil kills Po’s parents, Po is adopted, then learns how his parents were killed, and finally revenges for his mom who had no choice but to die after leaving him in a basket of radishes. The actors behind the voices are star-studded: Jack Black (Po), Angelina Jolie (Tigress), Lucy Liu (Viper), Seth Rogen (Mantis), David Cross (Crane), Dustin Hoffman (Shifu) and Jackie Chan (Monkey). Gary Oldman (aka Sirius Black in wizarding world) voiced the evil peacock Shen. The kung fu moves and action make it amusing to kids, while the great comedic timing and dialog will surely get the adults laughing.

And just a warning: there’s an overload of baby panda cuteness! All squishy, cuddly, huggable cuteness!

The fact that it’s 3D made me want to grab baby Po out of the screen and hug him and just .. just … AAAAAWWWW <3

Now I need to watch Hangover 2!!!

Got to see the entire episode on Megavideo and I was totally surprised that Charice was actually in the episode! She sang for Vocal Adrenaline and as always, she killed it. I still don’t like her but I can’t deny her talent. And she didn’t sound bad speaking in English at all!

I also loved Chris and Lea’s duet of ‘For Good’. I love their friendship more than any romantic pairing in Glee.

I was kind of expecting a bigger storyline for Quinn’s haircut, given that she sounded so mysterious to Finn in the previous episode where she said “You’ll see”. I thought she had something big planned for herself in New York. But I guess we have the entire Season 3 to “see” what she meant?

There’s a (rather nasty) rumor that Manny Pacquiao will be making an appearance in the next season. Oh MY. I think the writers are going to come up with a boxing episode or something. Well, when I first heard Charice was joining Glee I said I’d look away from the TV when she’s on the screen (LOL) but I ended up half-appreciating her presence. So… give Manny a chance? We’ll see.

Anyway, someone on Tumblr shared a UStream link of the Glee Tour in San Jose! I just got to watch the concert! Props to that girl who held the camera/phone the entire time! I wouldn’t do that haha! Maybe for a few songs but not the entire concert. So thank you fellow Gleek!!

Oh! Last night I stopped at Universal channel and Flashpoint was showing. There’s a really cute guy who’s in the team and I SO wanted to point out how cute he is. After like, three scenes I finally blurted out “Ang pogi!” sabay turo sa screen. I thought Mama was going to make deadma but she said, “Oo nga eh!” HAHA! Sabi niya “May hahanapin ka nanamang bago” Ha! She knows me too well

So I did look up Flashpoint in IMDB this morning and his name is David Paetkau. Small Hollywood world that it is, he was in Final Destination 2 with AJ Cook (the really pretty girl who plays JJ in Criminal Minds) AND the other agent in Flashpoint is Amy Jo Johnson aka Pink Ranger from the Power Rangers!!! Awesomesauce!

Wow almost all the series I watch just ended their season: Criminal Minds, Glee, Modern Family … Naman! I need to watch something before Pretty Little Liars re-airs in June… maybe Flashpoint is good because of David? Haha we’ll see.

Back to werq!

You know how Criminal Minds is a current obsession of mine… it kind of gets my mind going. I don’t watch a lot of fan-made videos but while casually looking for Shemar Moore videos (I search for one character at a time) I stumbled on this:

IT’S SO FUNNY!! Great concept! How many times in an episode do they flip/answer their phone anyways? Haha! Anyway. I think my brain’s wired enough!

Since Tumblr is such a GREAT spoiler, I spotted some photos of the girls in Fast 5. Someone even said the girls were more worth checking out than the boys. Hah. So anyway. Almost halfway through the movie, this girl makes her entrance:

And I’m like wait a minute I’ve seen that face before. Not in other movies, but I can definitely place her face somewhere. Feels like I see it every now and then.

Few days after, it clicked: JASMINE MAIERHOFER

Jasmine has got to have one of the unique faces I’ve seen. Very fashion editorial material. When I saw her in person at one of PFW’s shows I’m like “Ang haba niya!” She’s just waaaaaaay too tall! And yes her surname’s a dead giveaway that her brother is former La Salle cager Rico Maierhofer.

The girl in the movie is Gal Gadot, and she’s from Israel. (Funny, my officemate and I were referring to her as “German girl”. I fail at nationalities haha)

Fast 5 is definitely a guy movie but if you’re a girl who appreciates fast cars, car chases, vault-dragging on a highway and girls who kick ass, then you’d enjoy the movie. At some point though , after all the action I totally lost the point why they wanted to kill Reyes. I also kind of got lost when The Rock suddenly joined forces with Dom’s team. The awesome scenes for me were when Paul ended up on the other side of the vault and he reversed to get back to the side where Dom was, and that 10-second window under the bridge. If there’s a pirated DVD copy somewhere already (go shoot me), I’ll be raping the  pause and rewind buttons for those scenes.

The guys were good looking, that’s a given. But the femmes didn’t disappoint either. So to the one who said that the girls were more worth checking out, AMEN TO YOU Haha!

I’ve already downloaded the soundtrack! Next movie I definitely won’t miss is Hangover 2!!

I was bored on Tumblr yesterday and I saw a link on my Dashboard leading to a fanfiction site. Ok, fanfictions (or fanfics) are stories created by fans of a show and/or its characters. The fiction part is where your imagination can run wild. You use their character names but create an ENTIRELY different story. You decide who hooks up with who, who dies, or even make up new characters. It’s fun. But tedious to do.

I remember back in sixth grade myself and a classmate used to write similar stuff, but not in prose-form. We wrote scripts. I can’t really recall if we used TGIS (a local teen drama) characters or made up our own. Of course they were only confined to our notebooks and pad papers. If I could get my hands on one of those scripts now I’d probably die of cringing but hey, that’s where my love for writing started.

Anyway the one I saw yesterday was a fanfic for Criminal Minds. The writer was obviously a big fan of the Hotch/Prentiss ship because it’s about untold romantic feelings between them. Haven’t finished reading it yet – I’m not even halfway! It’s called “All This Time” and you can read by clicking the link. Which got me thinking… I can try writing fiction again. I’m on Team Reid, and I’ve come up with a pretty good plot already. It’s post-BAU life. He’s got a family now. And… I know. I should write the story.

Right about now.

I don’t what I’d do without Tumblr. I’ve decided after three years of being there that it’s not really where you blog about personal stuff simply because there’s too much good stuff that other people post. Memes, GIFs, quotes, typography about practically anything and everything are there. Plus, that’s where all the famdoms are. About two-thirds of the people I follow are Glee-related Tumblrs; that’s where I get download links to episodes and songs. The one-third that’s slowly growing is made up of Criminal Minds-related blogs. Yep, two shows I’m really into right now (though I need to catch-up with Glee).

The Hunger Games movie is coming up and there’s a fair share of Tumblrs posting updates about the casting. I’m really not familiar with who ended up being cast as Peeta, Gale and Katniss but based on their posts it’s an upset. Well I just want to see the Hunger Games, period. There’s this one Tumblr called Advice Peeta and it’s all just memes based on the book. The posts are HILARIOUS! Here’s a sample:

There you go! Tumblr is really a happy place! Next best educational site to Twitter I think LOL Those who’ve been in Tumblr long enough would reminisce about Tumblarity I’m sure. And it’s the only place I can make fun of wrong grammar without being labeled an asshole.

I’m rambling. I just thought last night that I should make a post here about my Tumblr since this place looks no fun at all. Tumblr’s where it’s at!

In everything a person does, there’s always a WHY. That’s the first thing you should always ask yourself to get into the mind of someone. Why does he arrange his clothes in a certain way? Why does he love kids? Why is she a man-hater? Why does a full-grown adult refuse to eat vegetables? Every move has a reason behind it.

A person acts a certain way because of a stressor. A stressor could be a lot of things – abuse, traumatic childhood, broken relationships, bullying – the list could go on. Then, as that person grows older, he finds ways to act on these frustrations. A kid who didn’t have a father or a mother growing up could tend to look for an older partner, in the same way that an eldest child in the family might look for a partner who would take care of her because all her life she’s been taking care of her siblings. Nothing’s wrong with this, it’s human nature. We all have needs and we find satisfaction in other people.

There are however, instances when acting on life’s frustrations can become dangerous. One frustration could lead to another when the former is not met. Some often resort to extreme ways that could later on damage relationships and reputations. It’s typical to be scared, to desperately cover tracks and to try to save whatever’s left.

I’m saying this because after 27 (and counting) episodes of what could be the best crash course in human psychology, I can easily read through your actions now. Am I mad? Hell yes. I’m Jason Gideon-level pissed. In all my online life, I’ve come to hate posers. I’ve been reporting accounts of people who I know are not who they claim to be and yet one is circling right under my radar undetected.

I pretty much let my Mom be when it comes to her Facebook account. She belongs to the small statistic of uber-active Facebook users in her age range. When I come home she’s always got something to share about who she met, who she’s been talking to. Being the cyber-bitch that I was years ago, I make sure to constantly remind her to be careful of what she shares and more importantly, who she shares it with.

I’ve seen her sleep at 5am over some asshole who posed as a certain person who resides in London. Oh, since when was London where Enchanted Kingdom is?

But just like all things in life, it can get worse.

Worse, because my family treated you as one of us. Worse, because I know you’re important to my Mom because I’m pretty sure you kept her company when she needed one. I didn’t mind installing Skype and her staying up late because I know she was happy she could talk to someone. Worse, because you took posing to an entirely new level.

We all have problems – emotionally, physically, financially, spiritually. I’m dealing with all of that right now, believe me. But the last thing on my mind is taking advantage of a person’s trust and using it to my benefit.

So going back to what I established in the beginning, why are you doing this? Why take on an identity you know is not yours and take advantage of a person’s trust in you? Was letting my Mom add CK your way of admitting to her about what you’re doing wrong? Because you could’ve easily refused to let her add CK. But you did, then you did some damage control over something my Mom was totally clueless about. Come to think of it, there wouldn’t be this issue if you didn’t pressure her to delete either CK or B. That in itself has guilt written all over it.

But you can turn this around. Sure you’re guilty and you’re scared but right now anything is better than continuing what you’re doing. The best damage control is to ‘fess up, not spinning new stories. And you know it.

One of the things I learned in those 27 episodes is to show compassion to unsubs who acted on a stressor that stems to when they were still young. It’s psychological. It’s their way of coping. So at some corner in this brain of mine, there’s a little bit of understanding. But the rest is just fed-up with bullshit.

I don’t need any more explanations and stories. You know who you’re anwerable to. And by all means consider this a threat when I say I have connections to the real person involved.

Take care of my mom? Damn straight, I will. And I’m beginning by keeping her from people like you.

I have a former officemate to blame for this. We have the same cable provider and he’s more of a TV person than me. He said to check out NCIS and Criminal Minds. Something with the former didn’t interest me so I gave CM a try and BAM! hindi na ako maawat. I’ve just recently figured out the schedule on Fox that’s why I have a 9pm ‘curfew’ for myself.

Basically they’re FBI agents but more wicked, because they’re the BAU or Behavior Analysis Unit. So, they solve cases and figure out who the ‘unsub’ (God! It feels cool to say that!), or what we mortals refer to as suspect, is by his style of killing, the methods he used and other psychological stuff that would make you go OH. THAT. They have a killer database of EVERYTHING about ANYTHING that’s available with just some clicks on the computer.

God. I just talked like this is the real life.

They’re a team made of seven agents and two of them are my favorite: Reid and Garcia.

Reid’s the ULTIMATE geek. Like, sexy geek. He can speed-read, analyze handwriting and just know so much stuff! My favorite scene was when he geeked-out while explaining the hidden messages in the unsub’s handwriting and Prentiss (one of the agents) pokes him on the arm and goes “He’s so life-like.” He’s too smart to be real.

Then there’s Garcia, the girl who pulls up all the info from their massive database. She’s just plain bad-ass and her job kicks major ass too.

Ok so WHY am I writing about this on a Friday afternoon AT WORK? Nothing. Haha. Just thought I might share to whoever comes across this blog a really cool show exists. Haha! And yes, I followed Matthew Gray Gubler (he’s the one who plays Reid) on Twitter and Tumblr; followed a bunch of CM-related Tumblrs and is currently backreading Gube’s MySpace blog.

Next week’s two days off for the Holy Week means a CM marathon! I’m thinking if I should just stream it since we have a pretty decent Internet connection at home or just buy DVDs later at St. Francis. Hmmm.

It’s payday today which means… time to pay the friggin’ bills. I’m meeting up with Chi and Mama at Megamall later. I was really planning on buying new stuff for the iPod but genius me, I left it at home. I need a new protective screen and case. And headsets, too.

That’s just about it. Not a lot of new stuff. Work’s being fun! Been eating a lot AGAIN and it looks like I might take up Chi’s challenge to start running. Chi, by the way, is already leveling up in her races! She’s running her first 21k soon! I wish I can go to one of her races but they’re too early and too far! (O ‘di ba, just with that statement you can say I don’t have a future in running!) Some of my college friends are planning to check out Mercato Centrale in time for one of Chi’s races. Yay!

I said that’s it already, right? Yeah. Happy weekend, kids!

You have no idea how much time, in a day, do I spend getting used to keeping track of things at work. Though I’m used to turning up outputs in a short time, numbers need to be hardcore accurate. One wrong digit in a string of three can spell disaster. So what am I trying to say here? A spreadsheet is what I mostly stare at. Sure I’m on Facebook on Chrome and I have a Twitter widget running but half of those feeds I really don’t read. (And OK, throw in a season marathon of HIMYM on some days). I’ve even received comments saying I’m not “active” in Facebook anymore.

It’s not that I don’t have time. God, I wish I can extend the day so that when I look at my watch I don’t see 8 p.m. when it just felt like 6 p.m. five minutes ago. I wish I can stop over some place else after work, hang out or have dinner with friends.

My silence doesn’t mean I’ve forgotten, because that’s actually one thing I suck greatly at. We might not be seeing each other, not talking or texting each other but I take great comfort and assurance in the fact that we’re friends. I hope friendship sees past material things.

Despite my silence, you can still call me up when you saw your crush. You can pop in my instant messenger with a random question. You can rant and send me a five-page text message. But please do understand when I say I’m busy (here’s a hint: mornings; late afternoons; and first and last weeks of the month). Please don’t take my getting used to work against me. I suck at numbers; need I show to you my college transcript?

And it’s not just work. There are other matters that are clouding up my mind right now that leaves me confused and spaced-out sometimes.

I don’t blame you entirely for feeling that way, though. It’s just that I don’t have a comedic comeback (as of the moment) when you tell me I don’t have time for my friends anymore. Because I do, albeit little. I’d hate to have a falling out just because people are under the impression that I’m neglecting my friends.

I’m sorry if that’s how you feel. Really, I am. But if you choose to act coldly towards me, it’s fine. Friendship is a choice. I don’t want to force it on you.

There are some things I don’t like to share to the world. I’ve long stopped sharing personal matters in my blog because blogs have become too public and I see no need for the rest of the world to know what’s bothering me. I just needed to get this out tonight.
